Marketplace Rules

Draft: pending review by qualified counsel
These draft rules describe the standards every account, whether buyer, seller, exchanger, investor, broker, professional or organization, is expected to meet on the Escrow.International marketplace, alongside the Terms of Service.
1. Purpose of these rules
These rules exist so that every party to a listing, offer or deal can trust that counterparties, documents and professionals meet the same baseline standard, wherever they are located.
2. Who may list and transact
Only verified accounts may publish a listing, submit an offer, or be added to a deal room. Verification requirements scale with the value and risk profile of the asset and the jurisdictions involved.
3. Listing standards
A listing must accurately describe the asset, its location, ownership structure and any encumbrances, and must not omit a fact that would materially affect a counterparty's decision. Duplicate, fraudulent or materially misleading listings will be removed and may result in account suspension.
4. Prohibited assets and prohibited use
The platform must never be used to market, list or transact an asset in a way that evades or assists anyone in evading sanctions, capital controls, tax or reporting obligations, banking regulation, or a jurisdiction's property-transfer requirements. Listings for assets that are stolen, encumbered without disclosure, or otherwise unlawful to transfer are prohibited.
5. Conduct between members
Members must deal with each other honestly and in good faith, communicate through the platform's secure messaging for anything related to a listing or deal, and refrain from harassment, discrimination or attempts to move a transaction off-platform specifically to avoid verification or a compliance gate.
6. Professional standards
Lawyers, notaries, brokers, valuers, tax advisers and settlement partners must hold the credentials they represent, disclose material conflicts of interest, and act within the scope of the milestone or gate they are assigned to in a deal room.
7. Fees and promoted listings
Any fee applicable to a listing, deal or subscription is disclosed before it is charged. A promoted listing is always visibly labelled as promoted in search and matching results.
8. Compliance gates
A deal cannot advance past a milestone whose required compliance gate has not been cleared. This is enforced automatically by the platform and cannot be overridden by any party to the deal, including the platform's own staff outside a documented compliance exception process.
9. Complaints and disputes
A member who believes these rules have been breached can raise a complaint through the platform. Where a complaint concerns an open deal, evidence is preserved and the affected step may be paused pending review. Platform review is internal mediation and does not replace binding legal adjudication, arbitration or a regulator's own process.
10. Enforcement
Breach of these rules may result in listing removal, a warning, temporary suspension, permanent account closure, or referral to law enforcement or a regulator, depending on severity.
11. Changes to these rules
We may update these rules as the platform, its jurisdictions or applicable law evolve, and will give notice before a material change takes effect.
